Position Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position will be responsible for supporting the Financial Planning and Analysis team in Region Europe CE&E within Volvo Financial Services, reporting to the FP&A Manager of Region Europe CE&E. The individual in this role will support the coordination of financial planning and analysis in the Region.
The purpose of this internship is to allow the student/intern to apply what was learned during coursework (theory, skill development, professionalism) to the working world. Interns will be provided with the necessary tools to thrive in this position. The intern will work on important projects alongside our Regional Finance Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the preparation of high-profile reports and presentations for the Management Team
- Support month-end closing process with the possibility of analyzing KPIs about commercial performance, risk, and profitability
- Participate in interesting and innovative projects within the Finance and Business Control community with the opportunity of high exposure in the Region
- Learn about and use analysis tools available at region and market level to identify opportunities
EDUCATION
BS/BA Student in Finance or related fields
EXPERIENCE
- Financial modeling, planning, and business analysis experience desired
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Innovative problem solving and strong analytical and quantitative abilities
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with MS Office, with advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability and desire to work within and in support of a team environment
- High level of integrity, credibility, and discretion with confidential information
- Flexibility and adaptability with proactive, service-oriented approach
OTHER
- Fluency in English is a must
